Our Violence Against Women Support Group at the South Asian Women’s Centre (SAWC) provides a safe and supportive environment for women who have experienced violence. We offer resources and support to help them rebuild their lives and regain their confidence.
Our services include:
Support groups: Facilitated group sessions where women can share their experiences and receive emotional support from peers.
Counseling services: Individual and group counseling to address the impacts of violence and support healing and recovery.
Safety planning and resources: Assistance with creating safety plans and accessing community resources such as shelters and legal support.

Family counselling services at SAWC are available to all South Asian families who are new to Canada. These services help families cope with the challenges of migration, cultural adjustments, and family dynamics. Our counsellors provide a safe space for families to discuss their concerns and find solutions together.

SAWC offers various support and crisis intervention services to assist individuals facing urgent or critical situations, such as domestic violence, homelessness, or health crises. Our team is trained to provide immediate support, connect clients with emergency services, and offer ongoing assistance to help them stabilize their lives.
